he VRCFury setup is relatively simple. There are two prefabs, the Normal Version and the NonThrowable Version.

The Normal version lets you throw the Flare and it will sync the position of the Flare when thrown but uses more Parameter Memory while the NonThrowable version uses less parameter memory but does not have the ability to be thrown.

Scene Setup

Find the VRCFury Flare prefabs in the ‘RuneFox/Flare/_Prefabs’ folder and drag it into the scene and then onto your avatar’s hierarchy so that it becomes a child object of your avatar.

If your avatar is not at scene origin and you need to move the Prefabs find the ArmatureTarget gameobject in the Prefab and move it to where your avatar is.

If you need to scale the system, only scale the Root gameobject. Try not to scale any of the gameobjects inside the system itself.

Setting up the Armature Targets

Holster Target

The holster target by default is intended to go behind your back as seen in the image below. Move it around until it looks like it’s in a good place. If you want to place it somewhere other than the hips you’ll need to modify the Armature Link for the Holster.

Right Hand Target

The right hand target, as the name suggests, goes where the right hand is. You should see a preview version of the Flare attached to the gameobject. Move the RightHandTarget and use that as a guide as you move it to your hand.

Left Hand Target

For the Left Hand Target repeat the same as the Right Hand Target

After you’ve moved everything you should be good to upload the avatar.
