The Placeable Sign is primarily intended to be activated through a combination of contacts and gestures, though a sub-menu for desktop use is also provided.
To use the Sign make sure the ‘Enabled’ toggle is active in the Sign menu.
To grab the Sign stick a hand inside the holster contact, this will be in the small of you back by default, then make a Fist Gesture.
To grab the Sign with the other hand while currently holding it, move the other hand to one of the grabable spots on the sign (Top of the sign, Middle of the post, and Bottom of the Post) and make a Fist gesture with that hand while releasing the Fist gesture on the hand currently holding the Sign.
In the image above, the contact capsules are where you can grab the sign from with either hand.
To place the sign in the world Hit the top of the Sign’s Post with your other hand. This will lock the sign in place. You may hit it up to 3 more times to knock it down a bit lower.
To Grab the Sign after it has been placed, move a hand to one of the grabbable spots and make a Fist Gesture while also pulling the trigger (i.e. Fist with Gesture Weight of 1).
To use the Sign on Desktop simply navigate to the ‘Desktop Controls’ Sub-Menu of the Placeable Sign Menu and select ‘Desktop Front’ control to put the sign in front of your avatar, then select the ‘Dropped’ control to place it in the world. Lastly, if you want to drive the sign further into the ground, select the ‘Hit’ Control up to 3 times.
The synced version comes with a ‘Disable Sync’ toggle in the menu. Use this toggle if you notice the sign excessively drifting, or disappearing completely after being placed down. This will disable the remote syncing system and will revert the sign back to normal world drop behavior. i.e. it will no longer sync the position and rotation properly for people who load your avatar after you’ve placed the sign down.
