The Manual setup will require a couple of extra steps compared to most manual setups.
Find the FlintlockAmmoSystem Prefab in the “RuneFox/Flintlocks/CartridgePouch/_Prefabs” folder and drag it onto your avatar. Also find the Pistol and/or Musket in their respective Prefab folders under “RuneFox/Flintlocks/Pistol” or “RuneFox/Flintlocks/Musket “and drag it onto your avatar. After dragging the Prefabs onto your avatar you’ll need to right click on them and select the “Prefab→Unpack” option in order to drag parts of them out and onto your avatar in later steps.
If you need to scale the system only scale the Parent object of the Prefab. Try not to scale any of the gameobjects inside the Prefab as that may result in undefined behavior.
The Cartridge Pouch contains the ammo that is used by both the Pistol and Musket. As such you only need one Cartridge Pouch on your avatar and it should work with both.
Make sure you have an Ammo Pouch on your avatar otherwise you won’t be able to reload the Pistol/Musket
Move the pouch to a location that is within easy reach of your hands on your avatar’s hips.
If you want to move it to a different location other than the hips you’ll need to change the target location in the VRCFury Armature Link component.
Move the Left and Right hand offsets to where their respective hands are. The red and blue cartridges attached to each offset are where the cartridge will be when grabbed by that respective hand so put it in a place that would feel natural for if you grabbed it with that hand.
Drag and drop the Flintlock Pistol Prefab from the “_Prefabs” folder located under “RuneFox/Flintlocks/Pistol” onto your avatar.
Find the Left and Right Hand Offset Targets. You’ll need to drag these so that they’re inside of the Left and Right Hand bones on your avatar respectively. These bones might not be named “Hand” and may be named something like “Wrist” instead. Then move these so that the objects inside of them are lined up with your avatar’s hands. You can then select the individual targets inside each Hand Target and adjust them separately.
Grip Target - This is the default grip position of the pistol. You may need to angle it slightly if you have to twist your hand down awkwardly to shoot straight.
RamRod Target - This is where the ramrod will appear when pulled out with this hand.
Reload Target - If you grab the Pistol around the barrel and aren’t holding onto the grip you will grab it in this reload position
