Find the Prefab in the ‘RuneFox/Boppers/_Prefabs’ folder and drag it onto your scene then onto your avatar so that it becomes a child object of your avatar.
Right Click on the Prefab and select Prefab→Unpack. We need to do this in order to drag the objects out of the prefab onto the avatar’s armature later.

Expand your avatar’s armature and navigate to the Left and Right Forearm bones. These are sometimes labeled as lower arm instead.
Drag the Left and Right Boppers onto their respective forearms.

Position the Boppers so that your avatar’s hand is in the center of the Bopper. If you need to you can scale each Bopper gameobject if needed.

Now drag the LH_Rotation and RH_Rotation gameobjects onto your avatar’s Hand bones. These may be labeled as Wrist bones instead.
Once all of that is set up Disable the Left and Right Bopper objects otherwise they will appear on your avatar when previewed or when viewed with no animations.
Here we’re merging the FX Animator and Parameters of the Bopper onto your Avatar using Avatars Manager 3.0. If you’ve manually added other complex assets to avatars before this part will be familiar to you.
Open up the VRLabs Avatars 3.0 Manager window by selecting it from the VRLabs dropdown.
Drag your avatar into the Avatar field on the manager window or select it from the popup by clicking on the little target on the right side of the field.
Expand the FX section and click the button at the bottom that says Add Animator to Merge. Find the Bopper_FX controller in the ‘RuneFox/Bopper/Animator’ folder drag it into the field under the ‘Merge Animator Mode’ sub-section
Click Merge on Current.
Click the second tab on the left (Mousing over it should show the word Parameters).
Scroll to the bottom until you see the field that says ‘parameters to copy’
Drag the ‘Bopper-Params’ file from ‘RuneFox/Bopper/VRC_Assets’ to the field mentioned above.
