The Magic 8 Ball is primarily intended to be activated through a combination of contacts, gestures, and physbones, though it is also usable on desktop through the radial menu.
To use the Magic 8 Ball make sure the ‘Enable’ toggle is active in the Magic 8 Ball menu
To grab the Magic 8 Ball stick a hand inside the Holster Contact, this will be in the small of your back by default, then make a Fist gesture.
To grab the Magic 8 Ball with the other hand move your other hand over the ball and make a Fist gesture while releasing the Fist gesture of the hand holding the ball.
To drop the Magic 8 Ball in the world make an Open Hand gesture with the hand currently holding the ball.
To Pick up the Magic 8 Ball from being dropped in the world make any gesture other than Open Hand while the hand is near the ball.
To use the sign on Desktop you can use the Position Menu to place the ball in your hands or to place it in the Desktop Alt Position which is in front of your avatar’s face by default.
To shake the Magic 8 Ball select the ‘Shake’ action in the Radial menu.
The material swap toggle changes the Magic 8 Ball so that it rolls a number between 1 and 20 instead of the normal responses.
This toggle enables a hologram particle which shows the current response of the Magic 8 Ball at a larger size which should be much more readable than the default view window.
