If you need to scale the system only scale the Parent object of each prefab. Try not to scale any of the gameobjects inside the prefab as that may result in undefined behavior.
Drag and drop the Gunner Halo Prefab from the “_Prefabs” folder located under “RuneFox/GunnerHalo/_Prefabs” onto your avatar. Right Click on the prefab and select Prefab→Unpack. This needs to be done in order to move some gameobjects out of the prefab later.
Find the Left and Right Hand GameObjects under the Armature Links Gameobject.
Expand your avatar’s armature until you find the left and right hand bones. These are usually named something like LeftHand or LeftWrist. Drag LeftHand gameobject so that it’s a child of your avatar’s Left Hand and do the same for the Right Hand.
You’ll need to move the hand gameobjects so that the objects inside of them are lined up with your avatar’s hands. I lined mine up with the index finger specifically. Use the blue and red halos as guides. You may have to rotate them slightly. Depending on the Avatar’s hand gestures and what controllers you use you may need to readjust these later if you don’t like how they look.
Find the Head GameObject and drag it into your avatar’s armature so that it becomes a child of the avatar’s Head bone. Line it up with your avatar’s head. Same as with the hands, you may need to rotate it to better fit your avatar.

If you don’t want the halo to appear with the avatar in the avatar’s menu preview toggle off the main GunnerHalo gameobject.
Here we’re merging the FX Animator and Parameters of the Halo prefab onto your Avatar using Avatars Manager 3.0. If you’ve manually added other complex assets to avatars before this part will be familiar to you.
I would recommend making a copy of your avatar’s FX controller as a backup as we will be merging multiple FX controllers onto your avatar so having a backup could be useful.
Open up the VRLabs Avatars 3.0 Manager window by selecting it from the VRLabs dropdown.
Drag your avatar into the Avatar field on the manager window or select it from the popup by clicking on the little target on the right side of the field.
Expand the FX section and click the button at the bottom that says Add Animator to Merge.
Find the GunnerHalo_FX controller under “RuneFox/GunnerHalo/Animators”
Click Merge on Current
Click the second tab on the left (Mousing over it should show the word Parameters).
Scroll to the bottom until you see the field that says ‘parameters to copy’
